Anyone born in the 80’s should definatly appreciate this tune from Torontonian Deadmau5. The intro of this one samples The Legend of Zelda’s theme (before it breaks down into one of deadmau5’s usual dope beats). I’ve had this one laying around for a bit but have been too busy with work and production to post it… Since It’s in my latest Dirrty Dancin’ Mix I thought id share it. One listen and you will understand why he has been opening his shows with this banger lately.
Next I thought I’d share my latest piece, it’s a mash-up of David Guetta & Akon’s smash ‘Sexy Bitch’. With so many remixes of this gem out on the net now, you might be asking why should I care… Well this one uses another producers beat, but keeps the essance of the original beat.. Take a look at the companion video I put together and you will hear what im saying…
… It seems that Deadmau5 has got a bit of the midas touch… Not only are many of the tracks he puts out some of the hottest sounds out, and his live show oen of the best, most involving performences that a DJ no less performs – his artists on his label Mau5trap are all very well rounded producers. Steve Duda, Syndey Blu and Moguai are all up and coming producers in their own right. This post features the latter artist, Moguai and his new single titled ZYVOX… also included are a remix of it by label mater, and Deadmau5 right hand man Steve Duda… enjoy.
Found this track last week while patiently waiting to go see Deadmau5 Live… Im gonna be honest … this is that shit … the type of shit us 83′ers get hyped about. The Mightyfools have resurected one of my all time favorites from the man who coined the term “Dancing on the Ceiling” Mr. Linoel Richie. This is an electro re-work of the classic and it get’s my nob as the sWaZy choice tune of the week…
I was kinda bored this morning so I put together a lil video to go with my mash-up so I could post it on YouTube without being one of those jerks who just places images on their videos (you knwo who you are). IT’s ghetto but its fabulous… Hope you enjoy it… sWaZy out..
Phat sWaZy here with some updates on some material I’ve been busy on. First off I’m glad to say that one of my latest remixes I completed for a worldwide competition for electro artist Blumenkraft placed in the Top 25 out of over 300 competitors. Not a win but definitely a start, but enough bout the past – I like to live in the now… And I’ve got a brand new Mash-Up I just completed and felt the need to share it (shameless self promoter that I am). After last Friday’s epic Deadmau5 concert I was just swept with inspiration and it came in the form of a Deaadmau5 vs Deadmau5 Mau5-Up. Titled “Move for my Ghost’s & Stuff” the song is a blend of two of his most popular works to date – Move for Me (a single he did with fellow House heavyweight Kaskade) vs one of his latest smashes Ghost’s & Stuff (which has a vocal edit on his new album ‘Lack of a Better Name’).
Tiga is back at it again, remixing Miike Snow’s latest single titled ‘Black & Blue’. Usually I see Tiga’s work as hit or miss, there isn’t much in-between I either love it or hate it – but this one is hype, full of energy and good sounds. Seeing how he’s somewhat of a hometown hero, I thought it be a good idea to get this out there for all of us Montrealer’s. The bonus cut today is a single off Deadmau5’s new album, it’s called FML (ill leave your imagination figure out what it stands for lol). Many people might not be down with this kinda sound from Deadmau5, especially if your only experience with the deceased Mau5 is what you hear or see on TV, but to me this is what made Deadmau5 the character he is today – it’s got mean drums and a tempo that will knock your socks off… I hope to hear this live tomorrow night @ the Met…
My man Phizzle brought up a good point in his last post…Where did summer disappear to? I say its still getting over the death of MJ… But in the absence of some sunlight and heat, I’ve got some bass-thumping rowdiness to keep you nice and toasty… enjoy
First & foremost, I have to lay this lil tidbit of news on the table …While Dj’ing last Friday I came upon this lil piece of news that is interesting to anyone who enjoys the electronic bass-thumping sounds of Joel Zimmerman aka Deadmau5. Fans of this Canadian sensation can catch him LIVE @ Metropolis on September 25th. Buy Tickets Here. Ill be up front partying it up …
Well it’s July 1st, people everywhere are moving to new locations, the summer is starting up and the pictures from last weeks party are rolling in. Here’s a nice new track from a Canadian producer named Deadmau5 (incase you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple years). This is a new take on his hit Ghosts & Stuff…enjoy
Soooooooo tired, waking up in the AM is pure sorcery….. baah since it is now the PM I guess I should stop bitching…. here’s a batch of choice tunes to get you by the day…. Got some mellow House from Dj Antoine and Kaskade on the remix, a special Remix of La Roux’s In for the Kill by an up and coming producer named Danyo Wallem….and some new Deadmau5, the dj every dj loves to hate…
Also I have updated my contact/booking info – If anyone in and around the Montreal area would like to book Phat sWaZy for a night of mayhem and music then simply hit me up @ phatswazydj@gmail.com or hit up my Booking&Bio for more information on myself.
After emerging from my party induced weekend daze, I put some pieces together from my weekend. One of the highlights from the Klaas show was him playing this remix of one of my all time fave chillout house anthems “Cafe Del Mar” now up until then I was content with the Deadmau5 remix…but upon hearing a killer remix on Sunday night I just had to have it….A couple of google searches later and I proudly present to the good people @ the83’s – Cafe Del First Time
Powerhouse producer/dj Mark Knight will be performing in Montreal tonight @ Tribe Hyper Club 390 St Jacques West. Should be a bangin’ performence for any progressive house fans out there. I might be hittin it up representing the83’s. Till then here’s some juicy tracks:
