It’s been a busy month here trying to get my productions in full swing while managing a blog and 3 seperate mixes/podcasts. I thought I’d take some time out and work on a lil something fun sounding. So in the midst of a mix session I came across a good sounding blend that I simply produced into a full bootleg. So here it is folks.. Danger jumped on the scene a lil over a year ago, leaving us with a couple of killer cuts, like 11h30 (which spun into a couple notible remixes) and a bumpin’ remix of Divine by Sebastian Tellier. Lately he’s been on the road and he put out a sample of his latest banger 4h30 … The first time I heard the sample I was amazed, his progression is nothing short of crazy and this song is proof. Alongside that I have a remix of his, One Republic’s ‘ All The Right Moves ‘ which in itself is a great track with an old school vibe. Check em out, and buy his new EP
I guess most people have heard through the proverbial grapevine that Patrick Swayze, the man who I modeled my moniker Phat sWaZy after, has passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. One of the first movies I remember watching was Dirty Dancing and the theme song from the film “I’ve had the Time of my Life” has been a song that I’ve used as intros for set’s when I was into my Hip-Hop days under Daiz’on End. My prayers go to his family..
Well it’s Friday again and the83s will be doing a live set tonight at The Golden pub in Bromont QC, I thought I would get the party started with some exclusive bangers I’ve been keeping around for a rainy day. All these tracks will most likely be part of the set tonight but rest assured we have many more we want to keep a secret !
Jayou has dropped an enormous amount of bass on this “Blue Magic” track…and for the better. I love it. It makes me think of Timbaland in his studio with Jay-Z in that famous DVD. I don’t know… I could just see Jay-Z and Timbo losing it after hearing that song. It’s the same vibe…but with a more electronic feel to it. Bottom line: it’s a fist pumper in my opinion (btw, if you type fist pump in google pictures, this guy comes up. greatness). And we’ve put a little extra track in this post to make you guys feel good today. It sure made me feel good.
It really seems like Canada is the new France nowadays, brilliant producers just keep coming our way and my latest discovery is Peter Hecher aka PH Groove. Not only does Peter run his own label, he makes modernized retro grooves like no one else!
