For all the party people that weren’t there last night at the Golden Pub World Cup – No Helmet Party, I actually managed to record my DJ set. We always talk about recording our sets but in the heat of the moment we always forget. Luckily for me, I was opening the show so I wasn’t drunk yet ! For those of you that did come out, thanks for making it a great night !
This collaboration is pretty surprising…*pause*…wait no, not really at all. Both artists are revered by similar demographics in different realms of music. Put them together and you get…’The Bloody Kids’ or perhaps the ‘The Cool Beetroots’, or maybe…it doesn’t really matter. Pretty sure we can all agree that a lot of ‘Hip-Hop’ has received a pretty hefty injection of ‘Electronic’ music in the last 2-3 years.
It was a hot humid day today…you know those real heavy ones? Kinda inspired me to find some deeply bass-involved tracks to post today. After a bit of searching, this new track by Rampage fit the bill just nicely. It has a very deep-dub feel to it, mixed with a bit of 90s synth (or so it seems anyways). Weird, but in my opinion, uber cool.
A hyped-up, high-BPM remix by Blatta & Inesha of a War by Rampage song. The original is a slow heavy bass hitter, that one, not so much. Just don’t listen to it on Sunday morning…
Super pumped today ! It’s my last day of work before my 2 week vacation For this occasion I wanted to post a couple bangers I picked up this week to get you guys dancing. Remember, this week-end is the first ever 2004 party… Not gonna lie, it’s probably gonna be an all night shirtless party… Stay tuned for photo updates !
Phizzle advice of the week : Drink and drive kids. It’s cool !
After working with Kill Hannah in Chicago for a few weeks writing the electronics for their new album, Trash Yourself brings us a new remix of Automatic Panic’s track Louder. Trash Yourself is currently on tour across the US with only one Canada pit stop in Calgary..We all know how people really like to party in Calgary… Boo!
I’m an old school Eminem fan. That’s right ! The older, the better to my knowledge and as for Spank Rock, well, we were put on to Spank when electro music was just becoming popular a couple years ago. Most definitely one of the weirdest concerts I’ve ever seen in my life. Unique to say the least. Check out this remix by Starters!
Nothing I love more then getting to work, opening up my email box and finding little gems like this track. This remix of Bag Raiders – Turbo Love by Whitenoise, really got my morning going. I’m actually going to go ahead and spread some love for these guys by messaging our Facebook Group. BR 4 life ! (it’s all about internet slang abbreviations… no?)
LMFAO – Internet slang meaning : Laughing my fucking ass off ! It’s funny to say, funny to type and hell it’s even funny to look at ! But on the83s.com LMFAO is a band straight out of Hollywood CA. Check out this remix of la la la by death to the thrown. It’s a crazy banger that will surely lighten up your boring ass day !
In the words of the great pioneer John Lajoie : “Sheryl Crow, James Blunt and Muthafuckin’ ACE OF BASE!” Big up to The Disco Vilains for turning this 13 year old track into a modern club banger !
