This video is from a set our home grown rising star Tiga spun in LA. Not only is the gig’s setup up amazing, but The song he’s playing sounds oh so good. It’s The Proxy and its called 8000. Keep your ears and eyes out for this gem … sWaZy out..
This is not blogging. This is an eclectic assortment of music with some tight photography.
Dancin (Tits & Clits Funky Remix) – Kovary
A good friend of ours, Jouets, sent over his new remix of Nick Bugayev’s “Everything Will Be Ok” track. When asked how he got on this remix, he replied : “Simple, I got contacted by Alice and The Serial Numbers (LA / MTL) because she likes my reworks. He asked me to make a remix for one of their signed artist. The original track is a little housy so I broke it down and made it rough while keeping the harmony of the electric guitar.”
Dew to copyright and label issues, we were asked not to offer this track as a download.
Everything Will Be Ok (Jouets Remix) – Nick Bugayev
When I got to work this morning, I opened my outlook up to find that Trash Yourself had sent me an email last night with their latest mixes. Trash Yourself is currently on tour across the US but unfortunately no Canadian dates or on the roster… Make it happen boys ! Montreal is where it’s at !
Glasnost-ComeAlone(TrashYourselfRemix) – Trash Yourself
**BONUS**
“Forget It” has been remixed by Jason Sundstrom (myspace.com/jasonsundstrom) and La Dolce Vita (myspace.com/ladolcevita). These are some amazing upcoming producers. Check them out!
In the past week, Numéro# (local Montreal artist) has released their second album entitled “Sport de combat”. We’ve had a chance to purchase and review the following and let me tell you that we’ve been really impressed. We find that they’ve matured a lot in style of musical arrangements and meaningful lyrics. Making them one step ahead of the “Electro french pop” culture that is popular amongst kids these days.
Last night I had the chance to be in Sherbrooke at “Le Téléphone Rouge” to attend their first live show featuring the new album. Having seen this group many times in the past, I can say that they have improved the overall performance on stage by actually creating music on stage (i.e. : Not having an MC sing over beats coming from a computer) These guys now have drum machines, synthesizers and chaos pads on stage. Pretty much how they do it in studio. Overall great show “2 thumbs up from the83s”.
PS: Tonton klaxonne live version is incredible !
Call it what you want to call it. Here are a couple remixes we picked up in the past couple of weeks. I’ll quote a loft owning artist on this one “It sounds like there’s a bunch of machine guns going off with robot sounds… but the kids keep dancing?”
Mars (Herve Re-fix) – Fake Blood
Our friends Jérome and Pierre Crube from the group Numéro# are on the verge of releasing they’re new album (Which I believe could be the album of the summer!) and have just sent us the first single off the upcoming release.
Be sure to buy this album when it comes out on April 14th !
Burns is another one “of a handful of exciting young 20-somethings that will be breaking through in 2009″ (that’s what the promo text said)… Burns has just signed to Breastfed and will be touring with Calvin Harris in April. We all should be excited and looking forward to hearing new music by Burns soon !
I was disappointed when I found out that Dylan aka Le Castle Vania wasn’t going to pull through on his gig at la SAT in Montreal last month… But then again, I guess that’s the way it goes in the music business. Here’s a new track I picked up today ! Garanteed techno thunder banger certified. (I just wanted to hype it up a bit )
Back Up In This (Le Castle Vania, Computer Club And Rrrump Remix) – Designer Drugs

I’ve always been a big fan of The Smashing Pumpkins, specially now a days that DJ’s started throwing songs into there sets to set off dance floors. Here’s a perfect example, La Castle Vania does it again.
Man oh man, big day today! Check out what happens when you cross one of my favorite DJ’s with one of my favourite artist. You get electric slippity slide!
