83’s World Order

What’s going on The83’s Nation?

Phat sWaZy here with some updates on some material I’ve been busy on. First off I’m glad to say that one of my latest remixes I completed for a worldwide competition for electro artist Blumenkraft placed in the Top 25 out of over 300 competitors. Not a win but definitely a start, but enough bout the past – I like to live in the now… And I’ve got a brand new Mash-Up I just completed and felt the need to share it (shameless self promoter that I am). After last Friday’s epic Deadmau5 concert I was just swept with inspiration and it came in the form of a Deaadmau5 vs Deadmau5 Mau5-Up. Titled “Move for my Ghost’s & Stuff” the song is a blend of two of his most popular works to date – Move for Me (a single he did with fellow House heavyweight Kaskade) vs one of his latest smashes Ghost’s & Stuff (which has a vocal edit on his new album ‘Lack of a Better Name’).

There’s some rambling going on in the blogoverse we call the World Wide Web. After much of the lack of praise Benny Benassi has gotten for doing what one could call, ‘mainstream music’ in the ever growing world of electronica, it makes sense that he would look for a way to re-invent his music and image. Insert MAYBB, signed on KITSUNE, Benny Benassi and his brother Alle form to make this new duo and their first single is titled “Touring in NY”

Kids At The Bar

Walking On A Dream was a remix they only intended using for their dj sets, but they have been getting a good response from people, so they thought they might try and share it with everyone.  We knew there were tons of remixes of this song already out there, they just wanted to make something a little heavier and that would mix well with the rest of their set.

Champion is back!!!

Coup de foudre

Our friends down at bombe.tv contacted us today and gave us the lowdown on the new BRAVO single entitled “Coup de Foudre”. We asked them to give us a little bit of details on the group and track and here it is in their own words :

Bravo c’est de la pop. Notre image, nos vidéoclips et notre histoire est aussi importante que la musique en soit. À première écoute, nos paroles sont légères mais notre message est très positif. Si tu crois en tes rêves, si tu suis bien ton étoile, toi aussi tu peux toucher le ciel.

Dans notre nouveau single COUP DE FOUDRE, on parle de notre amour pour Montréal qui nous fournit toutes ces filles magnifiques pour qui on craque chaque jour.

Côté marketing, on essaie de ramener le modèle des singles comme ça se faisait dans les années 70. C’est-à-dire qu’avec une chanson on bâtit un univers avec un vidéoclip et une thématique. Le web c’est des one hit wonder à l’infini.”

Jouets pt.2

A good friend of ours, Jouets, sent over his new remix of Nick Bugayev’s “Everything Will Be Ok” track. When asked how he got on this remix, he replied : “Simple, I got contacted by Alice and The Serial Numbers (LA / MTL) because she likes my reworks. He asked me to make a remix for one of their signed artist. The original track is a little housy so I broke it down and made it rough while keeping the harmony of the electric guitar.”

Dew to copyright and label issues, we were asked not to offer this track as a download.
